Controllers
In Multi Mode, you can use the K2700 physical controllers (the Knobs, Sliders, Buttons,
Wheels, Pedals, Pads, Ribbon, ARPEGGIATOR section, and TEMPO section) to modify an
instrument sound during a performance to add variation or expression.
Move a controller to view the assigned parameter name and value for each Zone in the
display. Controllers can also be disabled or reassigned for each Zone in Multi Edit Mode.
Because of this, controllers may function dierently for each Zone in each Multi.
Note: Assigned parameter names are not visible in List view, or if the Global Mode “Show
Controllers” parameter is set to No.
CONTROL Section
In Factory Multis, the rst 4 buttons and sliders are often assigned to Zone On/O and
Zone Volume. Sliders 8 and 9 typically control Delay and Reverb amount. e remaining
buttons, sliders and knobs are typically assigned to various eects and synthesis parameters.
TRANSPOSE Buttons
e TRANSPOSE buttons can be used to change the tuning of notes played on the K2700
keyboard in semitones (also known as half steps). is is a convenient way to change the key
of a song without learning to play it in a dierent key.
e current transpose amount is shown in the top line of the display. Press both
TRANSPOSE buttons simultaneously to reset the transposition to 0.
e TRANSPOSE buttons also transpose MIDI notes sent to the USB and MIDI Out ports.
PITCH WHEEL
Use the PITCH WHEEL to perform pitch bends. e Bend Up and Bend Down amount
can be adjusted for each Zone in Multi Edit Mode.
MODULATION WHEEL
In Factory Multis, the MODULATION WHEEL button will typically control a layer
volume or an eect amount. e name and value of the current assignment for each Zone
is shown in the Display when the wheel is moved. e assignment can be adjusted for each
Zone in Multi Edit Mode.
