Figure 2-3-5 Scanner motor PCB block diagram
The scanner motor PCB (SMPCB) drives the scanner motor (SM), turns the exposure
lamp (EL) on and off, and relays signals from the scanner home position switch
(SHPSW), original size sensor 1, 2 (OSD1, 2) and the original detection switch
(ODSW).
The scanner motor (SM) is driven by turning the output for motor phase switchover on
and off (SM A, SM A, SM B, SM B). It is activated by the driver IC1 processing the
currently set reference signal (SM Vref), mode signals (SM M1 - M3, SM CWB), phase
changeover clock (SM CLK), drive/stop signals (SM ENABLE) from the main PCB.
The exposure lamp (EL) is turned on when the signal (EL ON REM) from the scanner
control PCB (SCPCB) is inverted by DT2 and the resulting lamp on/off signal (EL) goes
low. Signals from the scanner home position switch (SHPSW), original size sensor 1, 2
(OSD1, 2) and the original detection switch (ODSW) are relayed to the main PCB
(MPCB).
