Problem Causes/check procedures Corrective measures
(1)
No primary original feed.
The surfaces of the DP forwarding pulleys or
DP feed belts are dirty with paper powder.
Check and clean them with isopropyl alcohol
if they are dirty.
Check if the DP forwarding pulley is
deformed.
Check visually and replace any deformed
pulley (see page 1-6-83).
Electrical problem with the original feed
motor.
See page 1-5-70.
Check if the DP feed belts are loose. Reinstall the DP feed belts.
(2)
No secondary paper
feed.
The surfaces of the DP separation roller is
dirty with paper powder.
Check and clean them with isopropyl alcohol
if it is dirty.
Check if the DP separation roller is deformed. Check visually and replace any deformed
roller (see page 1-6-83).
Electrical problem with the following motors:
original conveying motor and original registra-
tion motor.
See page 1-5-70.

Originals jam.
Originals outside the specifications are used. Use only originals conforming to the specifi-
cations.
The surfaces of the DP forwarding pulley, DP
feed belts or DP separation roller are dirty
with paper powder.
Check and clean them with isopropyl alcohol
if they are dirty.
The DP forwarding pulley and the DP separa-
tion roller do not contact each other correctly.
Check visually and remedy if necessary.
