5. Customizing the Feed Navigator
5.1 - OPTIONAL COMPONENTS
The Feed Navigator optional components provide the equipment with extra functions.
For any kind of requirement, the Feed Navigator is supplied with a broad range of useful
options, making everyday work easier.
5.2 - FNAV PRINTER
Feed Navigator has a RS232C output supplied as standard, preset for printer connection
(FNAVPRINTER mod.). The FNAV Printer is the quickest tool to obtain farm management
and control data. The printer has two different functions:
• Printing of data printouts regarding current weighing operations.
• Printing of the Recipe Archive, Ingredient/Unload Name Archive, Feeding Data,
Usage by Recipe, Usage by Ingredient, Unloads by Pen and Use Time by User ID
Reports.
5.3 - DATA TRANSFER
The Feed Navigator allows weighing data to be transferred to a Personal Computer and
programmed Recipes to be received from a Personal Computer.
Data transfer between the Feed Navigator and the PC can occur in two different ways.
• The T-Data8 Kit comprises:
1 T-Data8 Plug device, the storage medium for data transfer.
1 Label USB T-Data8 Logger, the USB device for connecting the T-Data8 Plug
device to the PC USB port.
1 Farm Manager 4 CD, the state-of-the-art software perfectly integrated with
the Feed Navigator for better and complete farm management.
• The Wireless Data Kit, using wireless technology to carry out the data transfer
between the Feed Navigator and the Personal Computer without having to move
from the work station. The maximum distance between the Label USB Wireless
Linker device and weighing scale is 300m; The capacity is influenced by the different
environmental condition, such as for example the proximity ti radio repeaters, the
persence renforced concrete walls, metal structure or objects that come between
the wireless devices. The proximity of cellular phones can also interfere with the
trasmission. The reach most effective data trasmission locate the Label USB
Wireless Linker close to a window toward the mixing wagons.
