1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,disconnectall
powercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtotheserver.
2.Removetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercover”onpage87.
3.Laytheserveronitssideforeasieroperation.
4.RemovethePCIcardbracketassembly.See“RemovingandreinstallingthePCIcardbracketassembly”

5.LocatetheRAIDcard,whichisinstalledinthePCI-Eslot3onthesystemboard.See“Systemboard
components”onpage45.
6.Removeanypartsordisconnectanycablesthatmightimpedeyouroperation.
7.DisconnectallcablesfromtheRAIDcardandanyotherrelatedparts.
Note:IfyouwanttoinstallanewRAIDcardafterremovingtheoldone,recordthecableconnections
beforedisconnectingthecables.
8.TheRAIDcardisakindofPCIcard.See“RemovingaPCIcard”onpage100andfollowthose
