Thistopicprovidesinstructionsonhowtoreplacethepowerconversionboard.Thistopicappliesonlyto
servermodelsthatcomewithaRAIDcardinstalled.
Beforeyoubegin,printalltherelatedinstructionsorensurethatyoucanviewthePDFversiononanother
computerforreference.
Note:Dependingonthemodel,yourservermightlookslightlydifferentfromtheillustrationsinthistopic.
Toreplacethepowerconversionboard,dothefollowing:
1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,disconnectall
powercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtotheserver.
2.Removetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercover”onpage65.
3.Locatethepowerconversionboard.See“Servercomponents”onpage22.
4.Recordthecableroutingandconnection.Then,disconnectthepowercablesfromthepower
conversionboard.
