Installing,removing,orreplacinghardware
Thistopicprovidesinstructionsonhowtoinstall,remove,orreplacehardwareforyourserver.Youcan
expandthecapabilitiesofyourserverbyaddingnewhardwaredevices,suchasmemorymodules,PCI
cards,orotherserveroptions,andmaintainyourserverbyreplacingthefailinghardwaredevices.

Yourserverhasfourmemoryslotstoprovidethefollowingfeatures:
•Eachslotsupports2GBand4GB1333-MHzDDR3unbuffereddualinlinememorymodules(UDIMMs)
withErrorCheckingandCorrecting(ECC)technology.
•Theminimumsystemmemoryis2GB(onlyone2GBmemorymoduleinstalledintheDIMM2slot).
•Themaximumsystemmemoryis16GB(one4GBmemorymoduleinstalledineachofthefourmemory
slots).
