1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,disconnectall
powercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtotheserver.
2.Removetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercover”onpage65.
3.Laytheserveronitssideforeasieroperation.
4.Removethefrontsystemfans.See“Replacingthefrontsystemfan1”onpage128.
5.Recordthecableroutingandconnection.Then,disconnectthepowersupplyassemblycablesfromthe
systemboardandorthepowerconversionboard.
6.Releasethepowersupplyassemblycablesfromthecableclipsandtiesinthechassis.
