Notes:
•Whenhandlingtheheatsinkandfanassembly,donottouchthethermalgreaseonthebottomofit.
•Beforeinstallingthenewheatsinkandfanassembly,usethecleaningpadthatcomeswiththenew
heatsinkandfanassemblytowipethethermalgreasefromthetopoftheCPU.Disposeofthe
cleaningpadafterallthermalgreaseisremovedfromtheCPU.
4.Placethenewheatsinkandfanassemblyonthesystemboardsothatscrewsonthenewheatsinkand
fanassemblyareinsertedintothecorrespondingholesonthesystemboard.Notetheorientationofthe
newheatsinkandfanassemblyandensurethatyouproperlyplaceitsothatyoucaneasilyconnectthe
heatsinkandfanassemblycabletotheCPUfanconnectoronthesystemboard.
5.Installthefourscrewstosecurethenewheatsinkandfanassemblyonthesystemboard.Itis
recommendedthatyoucarefullyinstallthefourscrewsusingthefollowingmethodtoavoidanypossible
damagetothesystemboard.
a.Partiallytightenscrew1,thenfirmlytightenscrew2,andthenreturntoscrew1andfirmlytighten
it.Donotover-tightenthescrews.
b.Partiallytightenscrew3,thenfirmlytightenscrew4,andthenreturntoscrew3andfirmlytighten
it.Donotover-tightenthescrews.
