14.Returntheoldsystemboard.TheoldsystemboardmustbereturnedwithaCPUsocketcoverto
protectthepinsontheCPUsocketduringshippingandhandling.UsetheCPUsocketcoverremoved
fromthenewsystemboard.
ToinstallaCPUsocketcoverontheoldsystemboard,dothefollowing:
a.AfteryouhaveremovedtheCPUfromtheoldsystemboard,closetheCPUretainer,pressdownthe
smallhandle,andthenpushthehandleinwardtolocktheretainerintoposition.
b.Notetheorientationofthesocketcover,andinstallonesideofthesocketcoverintotheCPUsocket.
Then,carefullypresstheothersideofthesocketcoverdownwarduntilitsnapsintoposition.
