Procedure
Step 1. Prepare your server.
a. Remove the top cover. See “Remove the top cover” on page 392.
b. Remove the system fan cage for easier operation. See “Remove the system fan cage” on page
387.
c. Disconnect cables from the middle drive cage.
d. Remove all the installed drives and fillers (if any) from the drive bays. See “Remove a hot-swap
drive” on page 176.
Step 2. Rotate the handle to open it. Then removing the drives from the drive cage.
