Press and hold on the two release tabs on the top of the server.
Grasp and pull the assembly to remove it from the server.
After this task is completed
1. Install a replacement unit (see “Install the LCD diagnostics panel” on page 175).
2. If you are instructed to return the component or optional device, follow all packaging instructions, and
use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.

Follow instructions in this section to install the LCD diagnostics panel.
Attention:
• Go over
“Installation Guidelines” on page 137 to ensure that you work safely.
• Touch the static-protective package that contains the component to any unpainted metal surface on the
server; then, remove it from the package and place it on a static-protective surface.
