6 If the error:
• Reappears, replace the black (or photo) print cartridge with a new one.
• Does not reappear, reinsert the color print cartridge.
7 If the error reappears, replace the color print cartridge with a new one.
Clear Carrier Jam
These are possible solutions. Try one or more of the following:
Remove any obstructions
1 Pull the control panel up.
2 Raise the cartridge access door.
3 Remove any objects blocking the path of the print cartridge carrier.
4 Make sure the cartridge carrier lids are closed.
5 Close the cartridge access door.
6 Close the control panel until it snaps into place.
7 Press .
Note: Pressing
after clearing the carrier jam of an obstruction will cancel printing and copying jobs but will
resume a fax job.
Clear Paper Jam
In the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF):
To clear the paper path:
1 Pull the control panel up.
