2. Swing the battery compartment door open as shown in Figure 3-
10.

Note: Remove the
battery if the instrument will
be stored for a month or
longer. Leaving the battery
in during storage will drain
the battery to the point
where it will not recharge.
3. Hold the instrument securely then pull the battery release ribbon
outward to disconnect the battery and slide the battery out.
Remove the battery. See Figure 3-11.
