Installation/Putting into operation
MultiPress S Operating manual 3.0 Rev 3.6.2009 23
Remove the bolted connections between steel bracket and pallet (1).
Remove the rubber cover on the top of the MultiPress S and screw in
the delivered lifting ring by hand as far as it will go (2).
Lift the MultiPress S by means of a (mobile) crane or a lifting device
from the pallet.
Removing the shipping
brace
The steel bracket at the bottom of the press serves as shipping brace. It
must be removed from the bottom side, before placing the press at the
place of use.
Secure the press such that it cannot fall down.
For example, place it on sufficiently stable, horizontal squared
timbers (15 cm x 15 cm x 60 cm). Make sure that the press stands
on all six rubber legs.
Remove the screws that fasten the steel bracket from below to the
bottom plate of the press.
Lift the press by crane and position it on the work table.
Align the adjustable legs of the MultiPress S such that the machine is
level and the weight is distributed on all legs.
Remove the lifting ring from the MultiPress S and close the threaded
opening with the rubber cover.
WARNING
Risk of burns.
The screwed in lifting ring becomes very hot during operation
of the MultiPress S and can cause burns.
Before putting the MultiPress S into operation, ensure that the
lifting ring is removed and the rubber covering is put on the
screw thread.
