3.2 Putting the machine into operation for the first
time
In order to guarantee the safe operation of all machine components, first
the basic functions must be set, and the safety devices must be tested.
› Plug the mains connecting line of the MultiPress S into a grounded
mains 230 V socket protected with a 16 A fuse.
› Switch the main switch on the rear of the MultiPress S to the
position I.
The display lights up and shows the following message:
WARNING
Risk of burns.
The screwed in lifting ring becomes very hot during operation of
the MultiPress S and can cause burns.
Before putting the MultiPress S into operation, ensure that the lif-
ting ring is removed and the rubber covering is put on the screw
thread.
