6.5.1 Starting the preheating stage
The preheating stage can be switched on automatically when the
MultiPress Sis switched on and/or started manually.
Bringing the press jaws together
In order to reach the target temperature as quickly as possible, the press
jaws should be closed during the preheating state. This is done in the
MultiPress S program-controlled by means of the automatic hydraulic
pump.
› In the MultiPress S with hand pump:
Pump repeatedly until the manometer shows a pressure of 10 bar
(145 psi).
Starting the preheating stage automatically
› In the menu Setup > Preheating, select the entry On and press the
ENT key.
The preheating is started automatically when the MultiPress S is
switched on. Please note that the press profile selected last will be
used. (see table Tab. 2: „Setup menu“ on page 40).
Starting the preheating stage manually
› Make sure that the desired press profile is displayed in the profile
box.
› In the main menu, select the entry Start.
› Press the ENT key.
"start" appears in the menu box.
› Select the entry Preheating and press the ENT key.
The display shows the current data of the preheating state.
