CHAPTER 3
CONTROLS AND INDICATORS
INTRODUCTION
This chapter describes the controls, indicators, and other devices that
could be interfaced to the Lynx NGT-9000.
COCKPIT SWITCHES
Cockpit switches are optional and may not be a part of the aircraft
installation.
IDENT
This switch activates SPI and transmits an ident pulse. An ident pulse
highlights the aircraft’s symbol on the ATC’s radar screen and is
identified on the Lynx NGT-9000 screen when active.
INDICATOR LAMPS
Indicator lamps are optional and may not be a part of the aircraft
installation.
TAS Alert
The lamp illuminates when an TAS Alert occurs.
TIS-B Not In Coverage
The blue lamp illuminates when there is not a ground station within
range.
ADS-B Out Fail
The amber lamp illuminates if the unit is unable to transmit when ADS-
B, GPS has failed or if the lamp self test (in installed) is active. It will
flash (1 second On/Off) when GPS is acquiring a signal.
The lamp is ON when the ADS B has failed, GPS has failed or if
installed, the lamp self test is active.
Aircraft On Ground The lamp flashes (1 second On/Off) while
the GPS is initializing. Lamp continues flashing until GPS position
is acquired.
Aircraft In Air - The lamp flashes (1 second On/Off) while the GPS
is initializing. Flashing will last only 2 minutes. If initializing fails
then the lamp stays ON.
Aircraft In Air - If GPS position is valid, then becomes invalid,
within 2 minutes the lamp will begin flashing (1 second On/Off).
After flashing for 2 minutes the lamp stays ON.
