Troubleshooting

CP-2500 displays “ADS-
B SYSTEM FAIL”.
If installed, ADS-B Out
Fail lamp does not flash
after power ON and
remains illuminated.
No traffic or weather
information on the
compatible displays.

The Lynx NGT-9000 is not
operating:
Verify NGT-9000 breaker is
closed.
If breaker is open, reset the
circuit breaker.

CP-2500 displays “GPS-
INIT” for 2 minutes,
followed by “ADS-B
SYSTEM FAIL”.
If installed, In Air - The
ADS-B Out Fail lamp
Flashes (1 second On/
Off) for 2 minutes and
then remains ON. If on
Ground the Fail lamp
does not flash, but does
illuminate after 2 minutes.

GPS attempts to acquire for 2
minutes, and then a FAIL indication
is shown (fail lamp, CP-2500).
This indicates that the GPS cannot
acquire a position.
Verify the aircraft (thereby the
GPS antenna) has a clear view
of the sky.

The CP-2500 altitude
page displays “INVLD
PA”.
If installed, the ADS-B
Out Fail lamp is OFF.
•
•
Either the NGT-9000 is not receiving
BARO-ALT (Pressure altitude), or
the control panel is set to ON mode.
If installed verify that the CP-
2500 is set to ALT Mode.
If BARO-ALT is not being
received there may be a problem
with the equipment.

CP-2500 displays
“XPNDR”.
If installed, ADS-B Fail
lamp is OFF.

The transponder function of the Lynx
NGT-9000 has failed.
At next power cycle if symptoms
persist contact L-3 Field Service
before removal of the unit or other
equipment.

The CP-2500 menu Initiated
Self Test Fail
The interface to the Lynx NGT-9000
has failed.
Cycle power to the NGT-9000.
If problem continues contact
service center or L-3 Field
Service for corrective action.
