Example of a box containing hydraulic jacks for con-
necting rod and end chocks.
The exact design and dimensions will be specified by
the engine builder or subsupplier.
However, as a minimum, the boxes must be provided
with the following:
• supports
• rigid handles
• rigid locks
• reinforced corners
• be resistant to water and oil
• hydraulic jacks must be secured in the box.
The table indicates the scope and estimated size of
boxes for hydraulic jacks.
Hydraulic jacks are often used at different locations,
which is why not all fields have been filled in.
