95. Remove grease fitting (109) from each end of hollow
shaft (136).
96. Remove two capscrews (144), four flat washers (10),
two lock washers (11), and two nuts (12) securing wear
pad (143) to telescope cylinder sheave mounting
weldment (133) (see Figure 4-39).
97. Remove four capscrews (141) and flat washers (10)
securing upper cable keeper (140) to telescope cylinder
sheave mounting weldment (133) (see Figure 4-39).
98. Remove four capscrews (13) and flat washers (10)
securing wear pad (142) to telescope cylinder sheave
mounting weldment (133) (see Figure 4-39).
99. Remove two capscrews (141) and flat washers (10)
securing lower cable keeper (147) to telescope cylinder
sheave mounting weldment (133) (see Figure 4-39).
100.Remove six tele 3 extend cables (139) from sheave
assemblies (134) at front of telescope cylinder (6) (see
Figure 4-40).
101.Remove plate (137), two capscrews (111), and two
hardened flat washers (138) securing hollow shaft (136)
in place. Remove hollow shaft (136) and six spacers
(135) securing the three sheave assemblies (134) to
telescope cylinder sheave mounting weldment (133)
(see Figure 4-40).
102.Remove four capscrews (22) and flat washers (23)
securing telescope cylinder sheave mounting weldment
(133) to end of telescope cylinder (6).
Boom Nose Sheaves
Removal
1. Remove hitch pin clips from the three lock hair pins, then
remove lock hair pins from upper and lower parts of
boom nose.
2. Remove four holder plates securing upper and lower
boom nose shafts in boom nos weldment.
NOTE: The boom nose sheave shafts weigh
approximately 46 kg (100 lb) each. The boom nose
sheaves weigh approximately 7.7 kg (17 lb) each.
3. Carefully pull upper boom nose sheave shaft from boom
nose, removing spacers, shims, and boom nose
sheaves. Note location of each.
4. Carefully pull lower boom nose sheave shaft from boom
nose, removing spacers, shims, boom nose sheaves,
and weldment pin keepers. Note location of each.
