Drive train status indicator light—displays the condition of the corresponding drive (engine and drive combination).
The displayed conditions are:

On Fully functional with no limited operation –
Off Inoperable or limited operation
Engine not running
Gear shift capability faults
Flashing
Severe faults have occurred resulting in improper operation.
Control has been compromised.
Steering capability faults
Throttle severely derated due to drive
train faults
Alarm light—alerts the operator to a fault condition and its severity.
The displayed conditions are:
Indicator Light Fault condition and severity
Off No active faults
Slow flash Minor fault has occurred, control remains but may cause reduced maneuverability
Fast flash Critical fault has occurred, control may be disabled or maneuverability severely limited
Transfer button—allows the operator to take control of the vessel at an auxiliary joystick station using the same procedure outlined
for a fully equipped helm.
NOTE: In dual engine installations, both engines must be running for helm transfer.
Auxiliary Joystick Station and Throttle Only Feature
To avoid arriving at the station without gear control, the throttle only feature will automatically disable when transferring to an
auxiliary joystick station. This is different than the behavior when transferring between the helm stations. In a transfer to a
fully‑equipped helm station the throttle only feature will remain engaged even after the transfer and until the operator disables the
feature.
Stopping the Engines from an Auxiliary Joystick Station
The only method to shutdown (stop) the engines at an auxiliary joystick station is by using the E‑stop switch. An auxiliary joystick
station E‑stop switch stops all of the engines in case of an emergency.
IMPORTANT: While operating from an auxiliary joystick station, the operator should not use the helm station key switches to
shutdown the engines. This action could result in reduced maneuverability and the operator may be unable to transfer control to
another station with keys in the off position.
If an emergency situation requires the immediate shutdown of one or more engines, use the auxiliary joystick station E‑stop switch
to shutdown all engines. If immediate shutdown is not required, the operator should transfer and resume control at a fully‑equipped
helm station and shutdown the engines as needed.
NOTE: An audible alarm will sound at the station where you engage the E‑stop switch.
To regain helm control when the engines are shutdown after using an E‑stop switch at an auxiliary joystick station:
1. Move the E‑Stop switch to the run position.
2. Control is automatically transferred to main helm station. The station control can be transferred to a desired station by using
the transfer button at that station.
3. Restart the engines from the helm station.
Trim Tabs, If Equipped
Automatic Control
Unless otherwise, the Zeus drive comes equipped with an automatic trim tab control feature that operates through the vessel
control system to deploy the tabs based on vessel speed over ground.
NOTE: Some vessels will not use the factory Zeus trim tabs. Refer to the vessel manufacturer (OEM) for instructions on the use
of their trim tab system.
