5.2 Marker Locating Mode:
The i5000 MetroMark is equipped to locate passive and active buried electronic markers. If these electronic utility
markers are known to be buried underground, the i5000 MetroMark can be easily converted with a softkey func-
tion to transmit a signal pulse from the receiver down to the ground. This signal pulse for a single utility activates
the buried marker that in turn generates a magnetic eld response detected by the receiver.
Each marker, depending upon the utility type, emits a specic frequency signal. The frequency emitted by utility
type is listed below.
