Cleaning the flow cell stage
Perform cleaning and maintenance for the flow cell stage before
each use. Failure to do so might affect the attachment of flow cell
to the chuck.
z
Wear protective gloves when cleaning the flow cell stage. Dust, lint, or
other particulate matters can affect flow cell attachment and imaging.
z
Ensure that the silicon chip does not fall off when cleaning it with a dust
remover.
Prepare the following tools and solutions to clean the flow cell
stage:
z
Washing flow cell
z
Clean cloth
z
Absolute alcohol
z
Dust remover (with aerosolized air)
Perform the following steps:
1. Check for dust, debris, damage, or particulate matters on the
surface of the aluminum chuck of the flow cell stage.
2. Wipe the aluminum chuck of the flow cell stage with a clean cloth
moistened with absolute alcohol, and then let it air-dry.
Do not wipe the vacuum inlet and vacuum attachment slot to prevent
absolute alcohol from entering the holes and damaging the device.
3. Check for dust, damage, or debris on each surface of the washing
flow cell. Wipe the silicon chip on the back of the flow cell with
a clean cloth moistened with absolute alcohol, and then let it air-
dry.
