corrupted. If the unit has problems powering up after such an event, then the
Software Update Recovery process can be performed as follows:
• To the right of the Joystick on the unit front panel is a small hole,
behind which there is a button.
• Use a paperclip to push this button in and power up the unit while
continuing to push the button. Keep button pressed for 15 seconds.
• The unit should now boot using an emergency firmware image.
Once the unit has booted, carry out a software upgrade as before
with the CPIO archive file.
Warning: System reset switch must not be used in normal operation.
Notes on Upgrading from v1.14.1 to v2.0
On a system upgrade from version 1.14.x to version 2.0 the following
parameters will be preserved:
• Serial / automation level (Setup, System Setup, Serial Level)
• Source input selections (Operate, Input Masks)
• Source mask values (Operate, Set Inputs)
• Colour field RGB values for each colour field (Operate, Colour
Fields)
• AB mixer settings
o AB mixer input A (Operate, Mix A Input)
o AB mixer input A (Operate, Mix B Input)
o AB mixer cut mode (Operate, AB Mixer, Set Cut Mode)
• 2D DVE program settings
o Router mode (Operate, 2D DVE (PGM), DVE Mode)
o DVE 1 Input (Operate, 2D DVE (PGM), DVE 1 Input)
o DVE21 Input (Operate, 2D DVE (PGM), DVE 2 Input)
• 2D DVE preview settings
o Router mode (Operate, 2D DVE (PVW), DVE Mode)
o DVE 1 Input (Operate, 2D DVE (PVW), DVE 1 Input)
