5.9.4 Connect the “AVP” Condenser to the Furnace & Facilities
Shown below is the fully assembled “AVP” condenser. The tubing and fittings required to mate the
process output to the input of the “AVP” condenser are not pre-assembled. These parts are intended
to be custom fit upon installation of the condenser to the furnace. Once you have completed this
section please refer back to section 4.4 for the remaining installation instructions.
1. A 1” compression fitting is supplied for the facilities exhaust side of the condenser. Connect the
facilities exhaust to this fitting using 1” diameter tube.
2. A 1/2” compression Teflon transition fitting is pre-assembled with 1” X 18” Teflon tubing. Connect
this compression fitting to the quartz output tube.
3. A 1” straight flare fitting is provided at the process input of the condenser. Connect to this using
the 60” X 1” Teflon tubing supplied.
4. Trim the 60” X 1” and the 18” X 1” Teflon tube as required to mate the two tubes using the 90
degree flare fittings supplied.
Notice
There should be enough tubing left over to mate the two 90 degree flare
unions.
5. Connect the process pressure sense line to the 1/4” compression fitting installed at the Teflon
transition.
