Control with oil supplement
27
For Home Owners
FIGHTER 1110
When starting FIGHTER 1110 the control computer
senses whether the boiler sensor is installed and
switches to the oil supplement program mode. The
supply to the oil burner is connected so that it can be
controlled via the relay from FIGHTER 1110. In situa-
tions where the heat pump cannot maintain the set
control curve the minus value for degree minutes is
increased.
Once the programmed level for starting the additional
heat is reached the relay makes so the oil burner can
start. When the boiler temperature has risen to
approx. 55 °C the shunt valve starts to open. The
shunt adjusts so the true flow temperature corre-
sponds with the control computers calculated value.
If the heating requirement drops sufficiently so the
additional heat is longer required the shunt closes
completely. However, the oil boiler will be kept warm
for a further 12 hours to be prepared for any increase
in the heating requirement. Note that the temperature
level of the oil boiler is adjusted by its existing control
equipment.
Function, oil supplement
The temperature sensors for the flow FG (89), PG (32)
and the return RG (94) must make good contact with
the measuring point to provide the best performance.
If a submerged tube is not available, use the copper
tube supplied on the main pipes to the heating sys-
tem. Secure the copper tube with 2-4 turns of alumini-
um tape wound tightly. Now secure the tube using
lashing wire. Insert the temperature sensors and insu-
late using two turns of thermal insulating tape.
A shunt valve, if used, is connected to terminal block
(36) at terminal 4 Shunt+, terminal 6 Shunt- and termi-
nal 5 -N. The control voltage is 230 V AC, max 0.5 A.
The control voltage to the external starter used to con-
nect and disconnect the oil burner is connected to ter-
minal block (36) at position 3 TS-IN and position 1 TS-
OUT. The relay cards relay contactor is potential free
and breaks max 0.5 A, 230 V AC.
