The control panel can use two types of internally mounted power supplies: the
MPS-400 main power supply and an optional Audio Visual Power Supply (AVPS-24).

The MPS-400 supplies a total of 6 A in alarm, used for the
following: (a) powering AFP-300/400 modules; (b) powering a variety of UL-listed
24 VDC notification appliances (refer to the Device Compatibility Document); and (c)
providing up to 1.25 A of resettable power for four-wire smoke detectors. The
MPS-400 contains an integral battery charger, four NAC/Releasing circuits, and four
relay outputs (Alarm, Trouble, Supervisory, and Security).

The AVPS-24 Audio/Visual Power Supply provides up to 3 A of
additional special purpose power (unregulated, unfiltered) for output modules. The
AVPS-24 mounts to one-fourth of a CHS-4 chassis. In space-critical applications,
mount an AVPS-24 under system modules on a CHS-4 chassis. Refer to the Device
Compatibility Document for a list of compatible, UL-listed notification appliances.
