IRcommandsforthesourceequipmentaretransferredfrom
theGrandConcertoamplifiertothesourceequipmentusing
theminiIRmouseemitters.Sixofthesearesuppliedwith
theGrandConcertoSystem.Theemitterispluggedintothe
correspondingsourceIRoutputontheGrandConcertoand
thenplacedovertheIRreceiverwindowonthesource
component.TheIRoutputsareindividuallyroutedto
sources1-6.
NuVoT2GTunerDirectNumericAccess(Fig.7)
TheNuVoT2GTunershavetheabilityfordirectIRaccessto
numericstationtuning.ThiscanbedonethroughtheT2G
remotecontrolorusingathirdpartyremotecontrolthathas
beentaughttheT2GIRcodes.Toallowthiscontrol,itis
necessarytolinkoneoftheGrandConcertoSUMIRoutputs
totheDirectIRinputontheT2Gusingastereo3.5mm
(1/8”)monopatchcable.Oncetheconnectionismade,the
T2GwillrespondtothenumericIRcommandsissued
throughtheGrandConcertoControlPadIRreceivers.

NotethatalthoughtheNuVoDocksystemhasa16position
rotaryswitchforsourceinput,onlypositions1-6areused.
BoththewiredandwirelessNuVoDocksforiPoduseasimple
rotaryswitchtosettheappropriatesourceinput.Uptotwo
wirelessNuVoDocksand6wiredNuVoDockscanbeusedas
individualsourcesthroughNuVoNet.Thewiredandwireless
NuVoDocksconsistofthedockforiPodplaybackand
rechargingandareceivercomponentdesignedto
communicatewithNuVoNet.Priortopluggingthereceiver
intotheGrandConcertoEZPort,settheSourcerotaryswitch
tothedesiredsourcenumberinput.Onceset,theGrand
ConcertoControlPadswillautomaticallydisplaytheiPod
informationwhenaniPodispluggedintotheNuVoDock.
EachNuVoDockandreceivermusthaveaseparatesource
numberselected.

TheSUM1andSUM2outputswillflashanyIRcommandthat
issentfromanyofthezones.Thisismostcommonlyused
withanIRblasterdesignedtoflashIRcommandstoavariety
ofcomponents.
