Preparing Your Camera
Installing the Batteries
Use 2 AA-size batteries (either Ni-MH or CR-V3) to power the camera. Battery
power is convenient for capturing images or recording video clips.
1. Make sure your camera is off.
2. Slide open the battery/SD card cover lock.
3. Insert the batteries according to the correct polarity marks (+ or -).
4. Close the battery/SD card cover lock firmly.
New batteries or batteries that have not been used for an extended period of time (or batteries that have
passed their expiry date) may affect the number of pictures that can be taken. To maximize their performance
and lifetime, we recommend that you fully charge the batteries and discharge them for at least one complete
cycle before use.
Never use manganese batteries.
Never use different types of batteries together or mix old and new batteries.
Avoid using batteries in extremely cold environments as low temperatures will shorten the battery life and
reduce the camera performance.
Low temperature will influence Alkaline battery performance. A Ni-MH rechargeable battery is recommended.
If you will not be using the batteries for an extended period of time, remove them from the camera to prevent
leakage or corrosion.
