Formatting an SD Memory Card or Internal Memory
Using this option to remove all the recorded images/video clips or other data
on camera internal memory or on an SD card.
1. Power on your camera.
2. Press the [ ] playback button.
3. Press the [ ] menu button and select “DELETE” by using the /
button and press the button to enter the sub-menu.
4. Select [FORMAT MEMORY] by using the / buttons, then press the
buttons.
If an SD card is inserted, then [FORMAT CARD] is displayed.
5. “FORMAT MEMORY?” message appears on the image.
If SD card is inserted, then “FORMAT CARD?” is displayed.
6. Use the / buttons to select YES, and press the button.
If you want to cancel deleting, select NO.
If all data is formatted, [ NO IMAGE] will pop up.
The SD memory card cannot be formatted when it is write-protected.
Formatting the SD memory card also erases the protected images. All data other than images is also
erased. Before formatting the card, make sure that none of the images on the card are still required.
If no memory card is inserted in the camera, the internal memory will be formatted. This will erase all images
stored in the internal memory.
