Chapter 6 Printer ECM
Print Controller Users Guide 6-3
ECM Limit
If you try to exceed the limit previously set in Printer ECM, the following will occur depending on the
settings of Printer ECM.
When in doubt about the Printer ECM settings, ask your system administrator.
When a print job is transmitted after reaching a limit:
A message will appear indicating that the ECM counter reached a preset limit, but the printing
process is brought about normally and the ECM counter increments as if nothing happened.
No output is produced and the job is registered on the No complete job list.
If the ECM counter hits a preset limit in the process of getting an output:
A message will appear indicating that the ECM counter reached a preset limit, but the printing
process is brought about normally and the ECM counter increments as if nothing happened.
After the current print job is completed, no additional jobs are accepted. If you try to transmit the
next print job, it is deleted and registered on the No complete job list.
The print job instantly stops, causing the already fed paper to be output. The job is registered on the
No complete job list.
A print job deleted by the Printer ECM feature is registered on the No complete job list. For
information on checking the No complete job list screen, refer to Appendix A Trouble-
shooting (p.Appendix A-6).
