The camera takes
a picture using the
optimum settings
for the scene
conditions.
When the subject is dark, noise reduction is
automatically activated. This approximately doubles the
shooting time during which no other pictures can be
taken.

[_ Macro].
When set to [_2 Wide2], the focus distance is
automatically fixed to approx. 5.0 m (16.4 ft.).

To lock the focus distance for
underwater shoots (AF lock)
When[_ Snapshot],[_t Wide1],or,[_, Macro]is
selected,pressthe (_)button.
_ To cancet, press the _) button again to clear the AF
lock mark.
To take pictures of your pet's face,
select ([_ Pet Mode - Cat]/[4_ Pet
Mode - Dog])
Use <_D to select [_] or [4_] and press the (_)
button to set.
• [Auto Release] is automatically selected, and when
the subject's face is recognized, the picture is
taken automatically.
• To cancel [Auto Release], see "Using the self-timer"
(p. 36).
