Sending Explicit Messages Section 6-4
6-4-1 Sending Explicit Messages
When sending an explicit message to a CompoNet Slave Unit, the message is
sent to the CompoNet Master Unit using a FINS command (2802) as shown
below.
When sending an explicit message, send the FINS command to the Master
Unit at the local node, and not to the actual destination (the CompoNet Slave
Unit). The actual destination node address is specified in the command data
for the explicit message transmission command.
Example
Note Depending on the type of Slave Unit at the destination, a message may not be
received. Be sure to set retry processing.
