■ Mounting Procedure
1,2,3... 1. Hold the Multidrop Connector so that the side with the number is facing to
the left, and press the Connector to the communications connector of a
Slave or a Repeater Unit until it clicks into place.
2. Hold the Flat Connector Plug so that the side with the line colors (i.e., red,
white, black and blue) is facing to the left, and press in the Plug until it clicks
into place. Repeat the same to have two Plugs connected to the Unit.
Note To remove the inserted Connector, hold the latches on both sides, and pull out
the Connector.
Flat Cable II Multidrop connections are not supported.
4-2-4 Extending a Communications Cable
Flat Connectors can be used to extend cables for the trunk line, sub-trunk
lines, branch lines, and sub-branch lines to maximum ten levels. The maxi-
mum trunk line length is the upper limit of extension of each type of cable.
Refer to 1-2-1 Cable Types, Maximum Distances, and Number of Slave Units.
