1.22.1 E1 Line Service
Description
The E1 line carries thirty 64 kbps-voice channels at 2.048 Mbps transmission speed as a trunk or private
line. Voice is digitised by Pulse Code Modulation (PCM).
1. Channel Type
[DR2 (Digital System R2)/E & M-C (Continuous E & M)/E & M-P (Pulsed E & M)]
The E1 card supports three different channel types to provide connection at minimum expense. One of
the three channel types can be assigned to each of the 30 channels of the E1 card individually
according to tariffs and customer needs.
