Serial Data and Host Port Setup [420]
This menu lets you set the parameters for communication between the ports and the connected appliance.
To connect a device via the DATA PORT (such as a matrix switcher or system controller), set the parameter in the [421 SERI-
AL DATA PORT].
To connect a device via the HOST PORT (such as a personal computer), set the parameter in the [422 HOST PORT].
No setup is necessary when the DATA port and the HOST ports are not used.

Move the cursor to the item 421 by pressing
the or button. Then press the ENTER
button.
The [421 SERIAL DATA PORT] menu appears on the moni-
tor screen.

Move the cursor to the desired item
parameter and select an item mode by
pressing the Direction buttons.
The selected parameter will be underlined in the menu
when the cursor is moved to another item parameter by
pressing the or button.
RATE
Select the Baud Rate (communication speed in bps) by
pressing the Direction buttons.
When 9600 bps is set in the menu, the audio quality is
limited to G.728.
DATA BITS
Select 7 or 8 in the Data Bits (data length) by pressing
the Direction buttons.
STOP BITS
Select 1 or 2 in the Stop Bits by pressing the Direction
buttons.
PARITY
Select a desired Parity Check by pressing the Direction
buttons.

Press the ESC button to return to the
previous [420 SERIAL / HOST PORT] menu.

Serial Data Port Setup [421]
The setting must be compatible with the device con-
nected.
Refer to the operating instructions of the device con-
nected for further setting details.
