• Do not block the ventilation opening or slots on the cover which prevent the appliance from overheating.
Always keep the temperature on the rack within 45°C (113°F).
• Secure the rear of the appliance to the rack using the additional mounting brackets (procured locally) if the rack is
subject to vibration.
Caution
If this switch protector is used, then it is possible to avoid the AV codec being turned off by
careless pressing of the unit POWER switch.
In case of gang power ON/OFF operation incorporated in the rack, the unit POWER switch
must always be moved to the ON position and the accessory switch protector should be
mounted.
Attention: If any power ON/OFF for other unit units is interlocked with power ON/OFF opera-
tion of this unit, then the switch protector should not be mounted. Otherwise, the
POWER switch cannot be operated immediately for emergency action.
* If the switch protector is mounted with the POWER switch turned off, then power ON/OFF
operation becomes impossible.
Accessory Switch Protector
● Mounting
q Remove the four rubber feet by removing the four
screws from the bottom of the AV Codec.
w Place the rack mounting brackets on both sides of the
AV Codec and tighten them with the six supplied
screws.
e Install the AV Codec with the rack mounting brackets in
the rack using four screws (not included).
