● Connection of Matrix Switcher (WJ-SX550A)
The matrix switcher is connected to the data port through a
modular cable (furnished with the system controller).
• Setting of AV Codec (transmitter side)
Set the No.3 DIP switch on the transmitter side to the
ON position (cross). Make the following setting for the
[421 SERIAL DATA PORT]:
Rate: 9 600 or 4 800
Data: 8
Stop bit: 1
Parity: NONE
Parameters of the serial data port should be adjusted,
without fail, between the transmitter and the receiver.
• Setting of the matrix switcher
The setting parameters for the Communication Speed
menu should be adjusted to those for [421 SERIAL
DATA PORT] of the AV Codec (transmitter).
Remove a jumper connector from the CN13 on the con-
trol board. (Assume the mode without ENQ.)

AV Codec (transmitter)
It is impossible to connect multiple system controllers in
a daisy chain. Use the ports on the matrix switcher.

• Setting of AV Codec (receiver side)
Set the No.3 DIP switch on the receiver side to the OFF
position and then make the settings in the [421 SERIAL
DATA PORT] menu the same as the Matrix Switcher.
Note: When the WV-CU550A system controller is con-
nected, make the following setting for the [421 SER-
IAL DATA PORT]:
Rate: 9 600 or 4 800
Data: 8
Stop bit: 1
Parity: EVEN
• Setting of the system controller (WV-CU350)
Set the MODE switches on the rear of the controller to
the required positions as shown below.
Switch 1 - 3 : OFF
Switch 4: ON
Switch 5, 6: Same Baud Rate as AV Codec.

Caution: Turn the controller power off after the set-
tings are completed.
• Setting of AV Codec (transmitter side)
Set the No.3 DIP switch on the receiver side to the ON
position and then make the settings in the [421 SERIAL
DATA PORT] menu the same as the Matrix Switcher.
Note: When the WV-CU550A system controller is con-
nected, make the following setting for the [421 SER-
IAL DATA PORT]:
Rate: 9 600 or 4 800
Data: 8
Stop bit: 1
Parity: EVEN
• Setting of the video multiplexer
The parameters for the Communication Speed menu
should be set to those for [421 SERIAL DATA PORT] of
the AV Codec (transmitter).
