If you are not using a previously stored method, it is advisable to check that these options
have been appropriately set for your experiment before running your samples.
NOTE: Setting the History method setting to On (see Preferences on page 36) will cause
the instrument to store its last settings. If the History method setting is Off, all
method settings and options will return to their defaults when you leave that method.
