Troubleshooting Section
Troubleshooting:
This diagnostic code can be caused by an open
circuit or a short to another power source.
Perform the following diagnostic procedure: “Engine
Pressure Sensor Open or Short Circuit - Test”
Results:
•
OK – STOP.

Conditions Which G enerate This Code:
The Electroni
c Control Module (ECM) detects the
following conditions:
•
The signal vo
ltage from the engine oil pressure
sensor is less than 0.1 Volts DC for more than
eight seconds.
•
The ECM has been powered for at least two
seconds.
•
The engine is running.
System Respo
nse:
The ECM will log the diagnostic code. If equipped,
the warning
lamp will come on. The ECM will set
data for engine oil pressure to the default value. The
electronic service tool will display “Voltage Below
Normal” on t
he status screens.

Conditions Which Generate This Code:
The Electronic Control Module (ECM) detects the
following conditions:
•
No other codes for the oil pressure sensor are
active.
•
No 0262 diagnostic codes are active for the 5 Volt
supply.
•
The engine speed is greater than 600 rpm.
•
The engine oil
pressure signal is within the limits of
410kPa(59psi)to520kPa(75psi)withapressure
variationoflessthan1.68kPa(0.25psi)formore
than 30 secon
ds.
•
The engine oil pressure signal remains constant
for 30 second
s.
System Response:
If equipped, the warning lamp will be on.
The ECM will l
og the diagnostic code. The diagnostic
code can be viewed on the electronic service tool.
The E CM will fl
ag the engine oil pressure as invalid
data.
Thedatafor
engine oil pressure is set to a default
valueof500kPa(72psi).
The electro
nic service tool will display “Conditions
Not Met” on the status screen.

of the 5 Volt supply to the sensor.
