How to fix a PFT Water Pump that does not pump water?
    • K
      Kimberly BrownAug 20, 2025
If your PFT Water Pump isn't pumping water, it could be due to insufficient water pressure. Check the water feed line and clean the debris collector sieves. Alternatively, the manometer might show less than 2.2 bar; if so, switch on the booster pump.

What to do if PFT Water Pump stops after a short time?
    • R
      Raymond SmithAug 23, 2025
If your PFT Water Pump stops after a short time, the debris collector sieve or pressure reducer sieve may be fouled and need cleaning or replacement. Also, the hose connection or water line could be too small and needs enlarging. The water suction line might be too long, or the suction pressure is too weak; if necessary, connect a booster pump in series.

Why is no water running in my PFT Water Pump?
    • R
      richardmcculloughAug 26, 2025
If no water is running and the flow meter shows nothing on your PFT Water Pump, it could be due to several reasons: * The solenoid valve (bore in the diaphragm) might be blocked and needs cleaning. * The magnetic coil could be defective and needs replacement. * The pressure reducer valve might be closed and needs opening. * The water inlet on the pump pipe might be blocked and needs cleaning. * The needle valve might be closed and needs opening. * The cable to the solenoid valve might be defective and needs replacement.

Why is mortar flow 'thick-thin' in PFT Water Pump?
    • M
      Marcia JohnsonAug 28, 2025
If the mortar flow is alternating between thick and thin in your PFT Water Pump, it could be due to insufficient water. Increase the water quantity by 10% for about 1/2 minute and then slowly adjust downward. Alternatively, the water safety switch or pressure reducer might be incorrectly adjusted or defective and need adjustment or replacement. The mixing helix might be defective or not an original PFT part, and the rotor could be worn out or defective, requiring replacement. Also, the stator might be worn out, or the spring clamp clip is too loosely tensioned; replace the stator or retighten the clamp clip.

What causes PFT Water Pump to not switch off?
    • C
      Colleen MooreAug 31, 2025
If your PFT Water Pump does not switch off, the air pressure safety switch may be incorrectly adjusted or defective and needs adjustment or replacement. The air pressure hose or seals could be defective and need replacement. The air cock on the sprayer might be defective and needs replacement. The compressor may not be supplying enough air and needs checking. The air line might not be connected on the compressor and needs connecting.

What does it mean when the indicator light is red on PFT Water Pump?
    • R
      riverajessicaSep 3, 2025
If the indicator light is red and the fault is illuminated on your PFT Water Pump, it could be due to an overload caused by a pump stalled by dry material; run the machine in reverse, or remove and clean the pump. It could also be due to an overload due to insufficient water quantity; increase the water feed at start-up. The motor protection switch "Pump motor" (16 A) or "Cellular wheel" may have tripped; switch on the protection switch again. Finally, it could be due to an overload caused by compressed material in the hopper; clean the hopper and cellular wheel.

Why is mortar flow interrupted with bubbles in PFT Water Pump?
    • K
      Kelsey WatkinsSep 5, 2025
If the mortar flow is interrupted with bubbles in your PFT Water Pump, it could be due to poor mixing in the mixing tube; add more water. The material may be clumping and cutting off the mixing pipe inflow; add more water or clean or replace the mixing helix. The feed hopper on the mixing pipe may have become wet; dry the mixing pipe inlet and start again. The mixing helix or motor claw might be defective and need replacement.

Why PFT Water Pump does not supply air?
    • S
      Sandra JohnsonSep 8, 2025
If your PFT Water Pump does not supply air, it could be due to insufficient pressure drop in the remote control caused by a blocked air line or air nozzle pipe; clean the blocked air line or air nozzle pipe. Alternatively, the air-safety switch may be incorrectly set and needs adjustment.

What to do if PFT Water Pump does supply mortar?
    • S
      shawn28Sep 12, 2025
If your PFT Water Pump supplies mortar, but it is not working correctly, it may be caused by too much thickened material in the hopper or mixing zone. If this occurs, empty half of the hopper and start up the machine again. Another cause may be that the material in the pump component is too dry. If this is the case, run the machine in reverse, or remove and clean the pump.

Why does water rise in the mixing pipe of PFT Water Pump during operation?
    • R
      Rachel VillarrealSep 14, 2025
If water rises in the mixing pipe during operation of your PFT Water Pump, it could be because the back pressure in the mortar hose is greater than the pump pressure; increase tension or replace the stator. Alternatively, the rotor or stator may be worn and need replacement. The hose could also be blocked by mortar that is too thick (higher pressure due to a low water factor); eliminate the hose blocks and increase the water factor.
