A.4 Electromagnetic Compatibility
Declaration in accordance with standard EN 60601-1-2: Electromagnetic compatibility
Medical electrical devices are subject to particular precautions regarding electromagnetic
compatibility and must be used in accordance with the instructions on electromagnetic com-
patibility contained in the accompanying documents.
Portable and mobile HF communication devices can affect medical electrical devices (see the
supplement on electromagnetic compatibility, technical description).
A.5 Training
After instructions and reading of the user manual, training on the instrument is not absolutely essential.
If however there is a need, continued training can be provided. Please contact the instrument's manufac-
turer (PHYSIOMED ELEKTROMEDIZIN AG).
A.6 Connecting Additional Instruments
A.6.1 Vacuum Application Unit
You can also attach vacuum electrodes instead of plate electrodes with viscose covers or adhesive elec-
trodes. Use the Patient Lead Connector <9> to establish a connection to a vacuum unit.
If the vacuum application unit is connected and switched on, the current is generally released automatic-
ally via the vacuum electrodes. As a note, a respective electrode symbol is displayed in the lower status
bar.
The following vacuum application devices can be operated together with IONOSON-Basic:
