3.11 Slot Assignments
Slot assignments in this document are extremely important to follow. The Pinnacle Hardware Certification
team tests all slots and decides on the best option for your card configuration. Typically, this document
describes and counts the slot order by starting with the AGP slot (closest to the PC fan), and counting
upwards from lowest to highest (ex. AGP, slot 1, slot 2, slot 3, slot 4, slot 5, slot 6). While each workstation
varies in the number of slots as well as the actual speed of the slots, below is a typical description we will
use the following diagram on the next page as an example for this document:
