BT37 MarkII: Service Manual MA200606 1.0.0
Maintenance and trouble shooting
Mains failure – on battery likely causes include:
Mains power failure.
Defective power supply cable to the BT37.
Blown fuses.
Power should be restored to the unit as soon as possible as a fully charged battery will
only maintain the chamber temperature for 2 hours (less if the unit is still warming to
reach the target temperature).
Mains failure – low battery likely cause:
If mains power is not restored, the battery voltage will reduce, eventually resulting in a
low battery error message. Mains power will need to be restored to the unit as a matter
of urgency.
Battery itself has failed.
Battery charging circuit has failed.
The battery within the BT37 requires a full charge at least once every 3 months. If this
doesn’t happen, the capacity and lifespan of battery will significantly be reduced. If the
capacity becomes significantly reduced, a faulty battery error message will be
produced when the mains power is removed and the battery will need to be replaced.
Failure to power up
In the case a BT37 fails to power up, the following checks should be made
1. Is there mains power?
2. Is the power cable working?
If there is mains power and the power cable is working, it is likely that the power supply
unit, internal power supply cables or motherboard are defective and the unit should be
returned to Planer for repair.
