PROPSHAFT U-JOINT SERVICE
REMOVAL / INSTALLATION
1. Remove the PVT cover.
2. Remove the Drive Clutch and belt.
3. Access the front prop shaft roll pin through the hood
opening.
CAUTION
Be sure machine is secure before beginning this
service procedure. Wear eye protection when removing
pins, bearings or seals.
4. Use the Roll Pin Removal Tool to drive out the roll pin
from the prop shaft.

5. Slide the prop shaft back and away from front
gearcase, then pull the shaft sharply forward to
remove it from the transmission shaft.
6. Using care, pull the prop shaft towards the right side
of the frame and slide it out the right rear side of the
vehicle.
7. Reverse this procedure to reinstall the front prop
shaft.
8. Use a NEW roll pin upon installation.

REMOVAL / INSTALLATION (CREW)
1. Elevate and safely support vehicle under the frame.
The use of a vehicle hoist is recommended for this
procedure.
CAUTION
Serious injury may result if machine tips or falls. Be
sure machine is secure before beginning this service
procedure. Wear eye protection when removing
bearings and seals.
NOTE
Prop shaft roll pin removal is only required if removing
the front portion of the prop shaft.
2. Access the front prop shaft roll pin through skid plate
hole.
3. Use the Roll Pin Removal Tool (PN 2872608), to
drive out the roll pin from prop shaft.

4. Remove the front seat base and large storage
container to access the support bearing (Item 1).
