4. Hold onto a handrail while you step on to the
running belt with the speed at or below 1 mph (1.6
kph).

Important: To prevent unauthorized use, remove the
magnetic safety key and safety clip after your workout and
store it in a safe place. The treadmill cannot operate unless
the magnetic safety key is attached to the display console.
Using the Handrails
To maintain your balance, always grasp a handrail
when you step on or off the treadmill, and when you
use the keypad.
The treadmill is also equipped with touch-sensitive
heart rate grips that you can use to measure your heart
rate during your workout (refer to Heart Rate Features).
