Troubleshooting Heart Rate

troubleshoot erratic heart rate readings.

treadmill requires
more information to
calculate your heart
rate.
Make sure you are
holding the
touch-sensitive grips
firmly, but not tightly.
Wait at least ten
seconds for your heart
rate to appear.
Note: To conduct electrical impulses from a user’s
heart, the sensors in the touch-sensitive grips must be
in contact with the user’s skin. Usually, the
concentration of salts in a person’s perspiration
provides enough conductivity to transmit a signal to
the receiver in the display console. However, because
of body chemistry or erratic heartbeats, some people
cannot use the heart rate feature.
