On-Site Preventative Maintenance - performed by Service
Technician
1 Loosen the tension on the running belt, and allow at least 10 - 15
minutes to elapse before re-tensioning.
If you perform the other steps of this preventative maintenance before re-
tensioning, this should allow the required time to elapse.
2 Check the tension on the drive belt, it should be between 70 90lbs
3 Perform the software diagnostics, check LED function, and record the
odometer reading.
4 While in diagnostics, run the lift to maximum lift. If the lift makes
excessive noise or if the jack-shaft has an excessive accumulation of
dirt, CLEAN and re-grease the jack-shaft.
5 Visually inspect the running deck and belt, make sure that neither the
bed or belt is worn or damaged. If wear or damage is present, replace
using procedures outlined in the unit’s service manual.
The top side of the belt is a friction/running surface, and should NOT be
used to indicate belt wear. Belt wear is all about the under-surface that
touches the deck. Any belt thought to be worn to the point of needing
replacement must be verified by the current draw of the machine.
6 Functionally test both the wireless and hand held heart rate.
7 Inspect the power cord, make sure it is not damaged or positioned at
risk of being damaged by the lift mechanism. If the power cord is
detachable, make sure there is a cord clamp installed.
8 Visually examine all wiring and connectors. Repair or replace as
necessary.
9 Vacuum and clean the drive motor and area under the hood.
10 Re-tension the running belt using running belt per procedure,Tensioning
the Running Belt (on page 122) .
