Power Up
◼ Press and hold the power button (Figure 1) for approximately 2 seconds. The display screen lights up
with the Quidel logo (Figure 10). The instrument initializes, and the power indicator light turns green.

◼ During initialization, Solana displays a self-check screen (Figure 11). An internal self-check is performed to
ensure that values from internal reference standards are within a defined range. Solana compares internal
settings with an internal solid fluorescence standard.
◼ While the Solana remains On, an internal self-check will automatically occur every 15 hours.
◼ In case of a Self-check failure, please refer to the Troubleshooting section or contact Technical Support.
